KCPT Bringing Back Rieu and Much More!
KCPT Fall Membership Drive Offers Opportunities for Exclusive Tickets
(KANSAS CITY)—A virtual cornucopia of music, lifestyle and quality entertainment programming are in store for viewers during KCPT's 2007 Fall Membership Drive Sept. 4th through the 16th; including the return of a Kansas City favorite.
"Our Fall Membership Drive is an opportunity for viewers to support the many fine programs and education services we provide," said Bonnie Rabicoff, Vice President of Development and Community Partnerships. "Besides special music, we will offer health, lifestyle and how-to shows in this special Fall offering. It is gratifying to know that our programs are in demand and beloved by our viewers. But of course, we can't live on love alone—that's where the support of our viewers comes in."
Viewers making pledges of support to KCPT during the drive may choose tickets to three great concerts coming to town, beginning with the upcoming Doo Wop concert.
Doo Wop arrives in Kansas City for a star-studded concert 7 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 7 at the Music Hall in the Municipal Auditorium. KCPT is pleased to bring our members the nostalgic songs of the 50's and 60's with these featured performers: Jay Siegal and the Tokens (The Lion Sleeps Tonight), The Crystals (Then He Kissed Me), The Drifters featuring Charlie Thomas (On Broadway), Barbara Harris & the Toys (A Lovers Concerto) and Larry Chance of the Earls (Remember Then?).
KCPT is very excited to announce exclusive tickets for the return of crowd-pleaser and Kansas City favorite Andre Rieu. KCPT brings the inimitable Rieu to the Sprint Center Friday, April 18th, 2008.
"It has taken two years to bring Andre Rieu, the ?eWaltz King' and his Johan Strauss Orchestra back to Kansas City," said Rabicoff. "This new concert will feature favorite Strauss waltzes, Classical and Broadway standards and a few surprises."
KCPT has exclusive tickets for the acclaimed group Celtic Woman. Celtic Woman brings their concert, A New Journey to Kansas City Sunday, March 30, 2008, also at the Sprint Arena. The concert is an enchanting evening of traditional Irish standards, classical and popular music performed by some of the most talented women in music today.
VIP seating and a Meet & Greet opportunity with many of the artists will be available. All ticket pledges include the KCPT Member Card and KCPT PlusCard benefits.

My Music: The 70's Experience brings back "the 70s." mixing 1970s soft rock, pop, soul and disco for the "ultimate 70's party." Hosted by Barry Williams, Greg Brady on "The Brady Bunch," the special includes new and archival performances, featuring some of the best-loved tunes from the 1970s.
Glen Campbell: Good Times Again features highlights from the popular television program The Glen Campbell Good Time Hour. Hosted by the legendary artist himself, this special program presents the best of the incredible mix of musical stars in rock, pop, country, and soul that appeared on the program.
