"Generation XL 6" offers viewers their turn to weigh in

Thursday, Dec. 18, at 8 p.m. on KCPT

(KANSAS CITY)—Throughout this past year, KCPT has been tackling the growing problem of childhood obesity and sedentary lifestyles with educators, health experts, fitness gurus and policy makers. Our series GENERATION XL has weighed in on the debate over school vending machines, cafeteria food and the demise of physical education in schools.

Now it's your turn to weigh in.

On December 18 at 8 p.m., host Nick Haines takes your calls in a live GENERATION XL special featuring in-studio guests from the worlds of health, education and politics.

What ideas do you have for reducing the growing waistlines of our school age kids? KCPT's phone lines will be open, and we'll be waiting for your call!

Funded by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City, the GENERATION XL series includes six episodes airing throughout the school year in 2008.
