(KANSAS CITY)—Townsend Communications, Inc. announces the launch of KC Studio, the metropolitan area's unique and all-inclusive bimonthly magazine highlighting the cinematic, performing and visual arts, May 2008.
Partners in this new publication are the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts and the KCPT Member Magazine that currently reaches 35,000 homes. KC Studio will feature the latest calendar of events with information provided by the Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City and other sources.
"KC Studio is the best of both worlds for the Kansas City arts and culture aficionado. Not only will this new publication feature the great programs and happenings at KCPT, it will keep readers informed of our community's cinematic, performing and visual arts events," says KCPT President Victor Hogstrom. "This exciting magazine will enhance the reader's artistic and cultural experiences by connecting him or her to the premiere arts and cultural organizations in this city, truly providing the best of both worlds."
Every two months, readers will receive a schedule of events ranging from local productions to touring company schedules, film festivals, First Fridays in the Crossroads District, and studio openings from the Northland to Johnson County and Lee's Summit and beyond. Get insight about an upcoming performance or find out about an indie (independent), foreign or documentary film that may be of interest.
