INNOCENT MAN WHO SPENT 11 YEARS BEHIND BARS TO APPEAR ON KCPT AUG 10
Dennis Fritz Goes One on One with Victor Hogstrom
(KANSAS CITY) Dennis Fritz, a man wrongly convicted of rape and murder who spent eleven years behind bars tells his story at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10 on KCPT's One on One with Victor Hogstrom.
Host Victor Hogstrom talks with Fritz about his life, recent book Journey Toward Justice and his work helping others.
Fritz was the subject of a recent episode of PBS' Frontline, where the story of his case and his life since his release from prison was told.
"The harm that it did to me was that it took twelve years out of my life, away from my family members," Fritz told Frontline. "I was cheated of watching my daughter grow and flower into a woman. No amount of money on the face of the earth could even begin to make an amend for what happened."
International bestselling author John Grisham took an interest in the case, publishing a book and speaking out about the injustice.
"The story of the unwarranted prosecution and wrongful conviction of Dennis Fritz is compelling and fascinating. After serving eleven years for a murder he did not commit, Dennis was exonerated and had the strength and courage to put his life back together," Grisham said.
Tune in Friday, Aug. 10 at 8:30 p.m. for this fascinating interview.
