Celebrate the Holidays with KCPT's Winter Membership Programs

KCPT Offers Special Programming and Exclusive Ticket Offers for Concerts, Shows


KANSAS CITY) In the midst of the holiday season, KCPT presents a variety of programming and entertainment for viewers during the station's 2008 Winter Membership Drive beginning Nov. 28 and running through Dec. 14.

Programs airing throughout the 2008 Winter Membership Drive include:

Great Performances: Hit Man David Foster and Friends
In celebration of David Foster's remarkable achievements some of the biggest names in contemporary music gather for a one-night-only concert spotlighting award winning songs and other favorites.

Brain Fitness 2: Sight and Sound
A sequel to the Brain Fitness Program, this program is specifically designed to help people get the most from their senses as they age.

Rodney Yee: The Practical Power of Yoga
Respected yoga master Rodney Yee and his wife teach a variety of poses and explain their health benefits.

Viewers making pledges of support to KCPT during the drive may choose tickets to many great concerts and shows coming to town, such as Yanni, Celtic Woman, War: Live at the Grove, Dinner with Lydia and Sesame Street Live. "Tickets to these events are exclusive to KCPT as the performing artists' way of supporting public television and thanking members for contributing to KCPT," says Bonnie Rabicoff, Vice President of Development and Community Partnerships. VIP seating and "Meet & Greet" opportunities with many of the artists will be available. All ticket pledges include all of the other KCPT membership benefits.
