Community & Meeting Rooms
KCPT provides meeting room facilities to outside organizations during normal business hours, Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm. Exceptions can be made. Technology services are available: computer with Internet, VHS, Beta, and connection for laptop via a projection system and drop down screen. This room can accommodate a maximum of 100 people. There is a nominal charge for room use.

Community Technology Center (CTC)
KCPT's CTC is an on-site computer lab and outreach center. It is equipped with nine computers, nine workstations and a SmartBoard. The CTC is available at no cost to organizations in the Kansas City community for various uses including
- Activities for Children and Youth - software for homework and academic enrichment, internet access and multimedia activities
- Adult Education & Family Literacy - GED, English as a Second Language, introduction to computers
- Career Development & Job Preparation - Computer skills training, resume writing, online access to employment opportunities
- Small Business Activities - Computer based training for basic entrepreneurial skills, access to technology for basic needs including word processing, Internet and email
- Meeting Space
Use of the center is available Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. Contact Amy Long at 816.756.3580 to schedule a date.
Tours
KCPT is happy to offer group tours of the broadcast facility for both adult and children's groups on Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Group Size: At least six (6) and no more than twenty-five (25) (one (1) adult for every ten (10) children)
Age Limit: No younger than six (6) years of age
Tour Date: Please provide at least two (2) dates and times
Time Length: Approximately one (1) hour
Tour Leaders must provide the following:
- Tour leader's name and phone number
- Number of people in the group
- The ages of those taking the tour
- Any special needs of those in the tour group
- The optional dates that you would like to tour
You will be contacted when your tour is booked. We are looking forward to having you tour our facilities and learn more about KCPT.
Please note: All tours are subject to cancellation due to studio scheduling. We will make every effort to give you 24 hours notice of cancellations. |
