KCPT is proud to announce the debut of our spectacular new incarnation of KCPT Magazine, ensconced in the fantastic new KC Studio Magazine.
No doubt when you receive this magazine, it may give you some pause about your member magazine. I hope that after you have read the expanded features about our community's cinematic, stage, musical and visual arts, you will agree that KC Studio Magazine is in some pretty good company! We believe KC Studio will certainly benefit our members, the arts community and greater Kansas City as a whole. It is yet another benefit of membership in KCPT and is great for advertisers and underwriters.
We're very excited about our new documentary program, 10-J — The History of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, airing June 10 at 8 p.m. with an encore June 12th. This great show brings you the story of how the Federal Reserve came to be nationally, and how Missouri received two of these banks; in St. Louis and Kansas City.
Also airing on April 24 and May 29 at 8 p.m. is the local special, Generation XL. This is a series of programs dedicated to improving school policies as they affect the most important people among us, our children. It features what area schools are doing to help kids be healthier by carefully considering what they are fed. This is must see TV.
We have big dreams for KCPT. Working in public television comes with big responsibilities... like making the station the voice and platform of Kansas City by providing local and national programs that touch the lives of everyone who tunes in. We don't take these responsibilities lightly. That is why we do important programs of local interests that affect policies within our community. With your ongoing support and partnerships, our big dreams will become reality.
Lastly, but not least, I'd just like to say thanks to a special person, Pat Wright. Not only has Pat Wright served and chaired our Community Advisory Board, she has been a tireless auction and pledge volunteer. After more than a dozen years of service, we thought it appropriate to honor Pat with a small token of our esteem and to say thanks. You see, without volunteers like Pat, there simply would be no KCPT. So I say thanks again to Pat and to all of our tireless volunteers; they are truly the lifeblood of our station.

Thank You Pat Wright!
Longtime KCPT Board member, Community Advisory Board chair and volunteer Pat Wright was recently thanked for her more than a dozen years of service to KCPT. President & CEO Victor Hogstrom presented Pat with a small token of gratitude. Afterwards, Pat was congratulated and hugged by many of her fellow volunteers and KCPT staff.
