JOB TITLE: Director of Corporate Relations
REPORTS TO: Chief Development Officer
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Salary/Exempt
The Director of Corporate Relations is an entrepreneurial, creative, and experienced fundraising professional who will help lead a strategy for growing corporate revenue to advance KCPT’s mission. The Director manages key donor relationships and plays a leadership role in developing and implementing corporate partnership strategies.
S/He is responsible for the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of a portfolio of philanthropic and marketing support from corporations and corporate foundations. S/he will works closely with KCPT development and production teams to support strategic priorities. S/he is responsible for writing and editing persuasive requests for funding, as well as reports and other updates to corporate supporters. S/he performs other duties as assigned.
Develop new business by researching prospective clients. Develop, manage and cultivate a current client list to ensure continued support. Solicit corporate support to include (but not limited to) 15 and 30-second corporate sponsorship messages, digital media and event sponsorship opportunities while cultivating philanthropic partners within the business community. Obtain meetings with key decision-makers across broadcast region including businesses, agencies and corporations. Conduct assessment of client needs and deliver customized proposals to best fit client and Kansas City PBS priorities. Develop and execute spot campaign, working in partnership with the Kansas City PBS production team. Create proposals for current and potential clients utilizing market research, audience data to develop new and innovative funding opportunities from corporations, businesses and non-profits throughout the Kansas City region.
Seek out, coordinate and participate in community outreach events with local and regional organizations to promote Kansas City PBSs’ name and develop rapport with existing and potential clients. This includes participation in community, organizational and chamber of commerce events. Assist in planning and staffing station events. Other duties as assigned by the Chief Development Officer.

JOB TITLE: Digital Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Vice President, Digital & Multimedia
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Hourly/Non-exempt
KCPT is hiring a newly created position, Digital Coordinator. The Digital Coordinator will be responsible for performing various administrative functions for KCPT Digital that require special expertise relating to budgets and special projects across multiple departments, and will provide comprehensive, confidential support and assistance to VP, Digital & Multimedia. This role involves both creative and practical work.
The Digital Coordinator will have a passion for KCPT mission and organizational values, an undergraduate degree and/or minimum five (5) years’ experience in accounting, finance or business related field, will have skills in analytical, problem solving, organizational and project management, will have a working knowledge of Word Press, and will have excellent verbal and written communication skills. A working knowledge of Google Analytics or other analytics tools for reporting purposes will be a plus.
