Kyle Rogers and James Flexman are the creators of the app Knoda and are former Sparklab KC participants. Knoda is an app where users can make predictions on any topic. Users agree or disagree with the prediction, and their accuracy is recorded. You can read more about them in the Hale Center’s report on their 1 Million Cups presentation.
Four members of the Kansas City Symphony wore Google Glass during rehearsal for their weekend performances of Beethoven’s 5th. According to The Pitch, this is the first time Google Glass has been used by a professional orchestra. The Kansas City Symphony will release a video of the recording soon.
Influence & Co. was named one of America’s most promising companies by Forbes. The content marketing company was the only Missouri company to make the list. It was ranked number 72 out of 100.
The Kauffman Foundation is starting a new program aimed at internships. Startup Scholars allows students in the Kauffman Scholars program to apply to be paired with Kansas City entrepreneurs for a summer. The intern will work with the startup and earn a salary paid for by Kauffman Scholars.
