Soodie Beasley
Soodie Beasley is an appraiser of furniture and decorative arts working in
both Los Angeles and Kansas City with a special interest in furniture
designed by decorators and designers. Soodie teaches several college
courses on the History of the Interior Design, and has worked in the field,
designing interiors and procuring furniture. Soodie also has curatorial
experience working with the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art, Museum without
Walls and the Terra Museum of American Art. She is a contributor to
the Journal
of Advanced Appraisal Studies and has contributed research to publications
on fine art and architecture. Soodie earned a BA in Art History from William
Smith College, Geneva, New York; an MA in Art History from the University of
Missouri in Kansas City; a Certificate in Appraisal Studies in Fine &
Decorative Arts from University of California, Irvine; and a four year
Post-Baccalaureate Designation in Interior Architecture and Design from the
University of California, Los Angeles. She is a candidate member of the

Ron Brown
Ron Brown has been acquiring and assessing rare and collectible books for over 30 years. He has published both bibliographic and militaria historical documents. As a certified appraiser, he has worked with items as early as the late 1400's and as recent as 2008. He is a Certified appraiser and meets and or exceeds the Internal Revenue Service requirements.
Bryant Clock Restoration
Bryant Clock Restoration specializes in the repair/restoration of all
types of clocks, from Atmos to tower clocks, mantel,wall and floor
clocks, regardless of age. And we make house calls. We also restore
antique music
boxes.
John Bryant, owner, is an apprenticeship-trained, 21st Century Certified
Clockmaker (certified by the American Watchmakers and Clockmakers
Institute). He is a member of AWCI, the National Association of Watch
and Clock Collectors and the Musical Box Society International.
Rachael Blackburn Cozad
Rachael Blackburn Cozad is an appraiser of modern and contemporary fine art and has over
twenty-five years of experience in the museum world including nine years as director of
the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City. Formerly she was Executive
Director and Chief Curator of the Cantor Foundation in Los Angeles, which holds the
world's largest private collection of sculpture by the 19th Century French master Auguste
Rodin. Rachael holds a M.A. in art history from California State University, Los
Angeles, and a B.A. from Texas Christian University. She is a member of the
Appraisers Association of America. She serves as a peer reviewer for the U.S. General
Services Administration's Art in Architecture program and also for the Museum Assessment
Program managed by the American Association of Museums. She is also a member of the
Advisory Panel for Art 21: the award-winning PBS television series on the visual arts.

Kirk Doan, Ozark Philatelics & Collectibles.
Kirk is a charter member of the National
Stamp Dealers Association and approved dealer with the American Philatelic Society. Kirk
has a broad knowledge of both United States and foreign stamps and postal history. He is
also a practicing attorney and appraises many stamp collections that are in the process
of probate estate administration. He is a authority on Scouts on Stamps, and will be
instructing stamp collecting merit badge as a staff member at the 2010 National Boy Scout
Jamboree. Kirk collects Boy Scout patches and memorabilia, and has written several
guides to collecting and valuing Boy Scout memorabilia. He is the current President of

GoMotorBids.com
GoMotorBids.com is an online auction house that deals exclusively in
transportation collectibles, toys, and memorabilia. Their specialties
include automotive diecast collectibles, racing-related memorabilia, and
model railroads. All auction items on the site are either owned or consigned
by GoMotorBids, and are inspected and listed by in-house employees. The
website went live in 2003, and since then has become a trusted source for
collectors and consignors, including a number of professional racing teams

Russ Dickey
Mr. Dickey is the director of marketing for GoMotorBids.com, a role he
assumed shortly after joining the firm in 2000 to manage retail and internet
operations. He is also the secondary appraiser and buyer. Mr. Dickey began
collecting automotive and racing toys at a very young age, and has been
lucky enough to parlay his passion for car collectibles into a career.
Bob Dusselier:
Mr. Dusselier has been the purchasing manager and lead appraiser for
GoMotorBids.com since 2005, and in that time has evaluated and appraised
hundreds-of-thousands of collectibles & pieces of memorabilia. He is a
collector himself, with nearly two decades of amassing rare and unique
racing collectibles.
Patricia J. Graham, Ph.D. Asian Art Research & Appraisals
A former art museum curator and university professor, Patricia Graham was born in Brooklyn, NY. She holds an M.A. in East Asian art history and a Ph.D. in Japanese art history from the University of Kansas. Her numerous publications include two books published by the University of Hawai'i Press, Tea of the Sages, the Art of Sencha (1998) and Faith and Power in Japanese Buddhist Art, 1600-2005 (2007), and many articles for journals and encyclopedias. She has been active as an independent appraiser of Asian art since 1993, working throughout the USA for private collectors, attorneys, insurance companies, auction houses, and museums. She also lectures widely about Chinese and Japanese art at universities, museums, and other public institutions, and leads occasional art and cultural tours to Japan. In 2002, Dr. Graham joined the Appraisers Association of America as a full member qualified to appraise artworks in a wide variety of Asian art categories. In October 2008, she successfully completed a 15-hour certification course and examination on the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), the Congressionally-recognized set of appraisal standards promulgated by the Appraisal Foundation. John Conway
John Conway has been working at Manion's International Auction House for nearly three decades. Conway is a Master Mason and a member of the Sons of the American Revolution as well as several veteran, historical, and collector organizations. He is considered to be one of the leading authorities in the arena of military aviation collectibles.
He is the co-author of "American Flight Jackets, Airmen & Aircraft: A History of U.S. Flyers' Jackets from World War I to Desert Storm" and "Art of the Flight Jacket". He's also contributed to numerous historical / collecting publications and militaria reference books
Guy Manion
Guy Manion has been involved with collectibles since a very young age. While being raised in an environment centered around militaria, he has also been exposed to virtually every aspect of the collecting field - from Allach porcelain to Zippo lighters, Guy has seen it all. His knowledge of collectibles crosses over into many different areas, and while he may not be an "expert" in each, he possesses a knowledge base as extensive as any professional in the collecting community today.
Pat McWilliams
Pat McWilliams has been working for Manion's International Auction House for 13 years. A Notre Dame graduate, Pat is fluent in French, as well as Spanish, and has a working understanding of German as well as Russian and other Cyrillic languages.
In addition to translation services, Pat specializes in firearms and related material - specifically Iver Johnson revolvers and Saturday night specials - but his collecting interests cover the entire board. He is an advanced record collector, specializes in coins, and film - and has appeared personally in several cult classics.
Pat has also penned several articles over the years for different publications, including Manion's Trendline. Many of his articles are accessible through the "Article Archive" section of Manion's website.
Ken Hatfield
Ken Hatfield has been a describer for Manion's International Auction House for 5 years. He has had a lifelong interest in WWII and is the author of the nonfiction book "Heartland Heroes: Remembering WWII," published by the University of Missouri Press in 2003. The book is a compilation of personal interviews with WWII veterans - from sailors at Pearl Harbor to GIs advancing on Berlin, army nurses treating the wounded at field hospitals, to German U-boat crewmen. Hatfield wrote most of the stories during his two decades as a newspaper journalist in the Kansas City area.
In addition to his modest collection of WWII patches, Hatfield also has a respectable comic book collection that numbers in the thousands & includes highly collectible books from the 1940s-1960s.
Craig Delich
Craig Delich, a retired high school teacher of 31 years, has been a describer with Manion's off and on since 1970. When the company was first created, Delich and Eric Johannson were the two original describers of auction items. Delich specializes in German and Japanese military collectibles. He assisted in the compilation of Manion's collector's guide tinnies, which was published in the 80s and is still in use today.
Delich has an extensive 30-year personal collection of WWII German collar tabs, and is also an avid coin, autograph, record, and Golden Age comic book collector. In fact, Delich is the author of The All Star Comic Revue, a 1976 publication which was to be the basis for later volumes called The All-Star Companion by publisher Roy Thomas.
Delich's brother, Dave, is a noted collector of and expert on SS memorabilia.
Steven Allen
Steven Allen has been working for Manion's International Auction House since May of 2008. A lifelong interest in the nature and history of mankind lead him to double-major in Anthropology and History at the University of Kansas. He graduated with a B.A. in Anthropology 2001, and has a fair reading and speaking knowledge of German. He has a general interest in European History, with a special focus on the 1870 - 1945 period of German History.
Allen has collected World War I & II militaria off and on since childhood. His current focus is on German Imperial artifacts. In addition to his collecting interests, he and his wife also own and operate "Timewalker Toys & Collectibles", an online retailer that specializes in 1/6th scale historical and military action figures.
Brad Roberts
Brad Roberts has been collecting militaria for well over two decades. While his specialties are in Eastern Block military collectibles, he possesses a wide range of knowledge including British and general European. An eight-year USMC veteran, Roberts is also proficient in his knowledge of modern military uniforms, field gear, and equipment. In addition, Roberts is a Civil War and WWII reenactor. A previous employee of Manion's, Roberts has returned under new management.
Mike Anderson
Mike Anderson has worked at Manion's International Auction House since August of 2008. He graduated with a BA in history from the University of Kansas, a dual MA in history and art history from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business in New York City. He concentrated on ancient history with the study of German, Latin, Greek and museum management.
His interests range from elite military units, Grand Army of the Republic artifacts, fraternal organization memorabilia and 1/6 scale military action figures. He is a past master of a Swedish Masonic lodge in New York City and a past camp commander of Sgt. Samuel J. Churchill Camp #4, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, in Lawrence, Kansas.
Vonn Krueger
Vonn Krueger has been collecting WWI and WWII German artifacts for over 30 years. He specializes mainly in insignia and buckles, but his collection contains numerous other WWII German collectibles including helmets, daggers, and field gear.
He has been working for Manion's off and on since 1984, and signed on full time in 2005 when Jody Tucker took over the company. Kruger was instrumental in the production of many of Manion's early price guides and reference books.
Pat Gould
Pat Gould has been an avid collector of Scouting memorabilia for over a decade. His particular interest is in the area of Cubbing, although his personal collection spans from books and badges to neckerchiefs and slides - he has never seen a patch he didn't like. Pat is the author of Someone Has to Tell the Stories, a collection of real life experiences as a Cub Scout leader. He continues his service to youth at the Cub Scout Pack and Boy Scout Troop levels.
Midwestern Musical Company
The staff of Midwestern Musical Company has served musicians in the Kansas City metro area since 1989. Although their emphasis is on vintage instruments and equipment, they deal in anything and everything a musician—beginner or pro—may possibly need.
Owners Matt Kesler and Darren Welch profess a genuine love of the instruments themselves as the inspiration to the high level of quality service they provide. Jason Roske
Jason Roske, the owner of The KC Auction Company, LLC, is a Full time Auctioneer specializing in estate liquidation and professional cataloged auctions of Fine Art, Antiques and Rare Collectibles. He has over fifteen years of experience in estate liquidation and the selling of Fine Art, Antiques and Collectibles at Auction, Estate Sales and Major Art and Antique Shows throughout the US.

Terry Sanchez
Terry Sanchez, known as the original recycler, has specialized in vintage vehicles,
collectibles and historic real estate in the Kansas City area for over 35 years. Terry is
the owner of Weird Stuff Antiques which he has operated for 12 years along with Flipped
Out Antiques and Rags Vintage Clothes before that. Terry is well known in the Kansas City
area and his expertise is anything not common in the antique world. If you say, "I've
never seen this before," that is Terry. He's contributed to numerous books, collections,
movies, music videos, and commercials. He is sought out for his most unusual items.
Terry has owned some of the most interesting properties in the KC area including a
vintage gas station, several churches, and a juvenile detention home that have all been
converted to living art space. Terry has also been recognized for his work in building
and restoring Neon signs and lighting systems. He also specializes in automotive related items out of his love for cars.

Brian Swirk
At age 17, Brian Swirk began working in the family jewelry store. Realizing his passion
for the business, Brian moved to Los Angeles and attended the Gemological Institute of
America graduating with honors. From there, Brian worked at a prestigious Colorado
Springs jewelry store as their appraiser. Returning to Kansas City, he was able to offer
the experience passed down through three generations of his family, a knowledge of
present day technology and a vision for the future. With 30 years as one of the premier
appraisers in the region, Brian is often called upon to speak about the industry.
