PBS viewers often tell us they’d like to see more programs about science and technology. That’s why KCPT has joined a public television initiative called SciTech Now. Since 2015, our limited-edition series has been sharing stories about ambitious inventors, innovative research and important (sometimes groundbreaking) discoveries. One of those features, exploring how the Stowers Research Institute uses zebrafish to better understand hearing loss in humans, won a regional Emmy Award for producers Dave Simmons and Randy Mason last year!
Teisha Bankston returns with four new episodes of SciTech Now. As always, each half-hour installment merges reports from across the country with stories emerging from the heartland. This month, learn how the makers of Shatto Milk are developing a new ag-tech company, and see what the microbiologists and engineers at Innova Prep are doing for NASA.
