Join Nick Haines for a town hall debate Thursday, February 25 at 8 pm on KCPT.
The last 30 years have brought significant changes to metropolitan Kansas City and we expect that the next 30 years will bring even more. With these changes come new challenges, opportunities and questions for our growth and our transportation system.
But the circumstances we are in as we look toward the future of the city are different than they were 30 years ago - our economy continues to struggle toward recovery; we have growing concerns about energy availability and cost; interest in environmental protection — both local and global — is stronger than ever; and we see a growing desire to create vibrant, livable places — all of which are integral to becoming a more sustainable region.
So the metro is faced with some tough decisions and Kansas City needs a new plan to address our region's vision for the future.
