If your town could talk, what stories would it tell? That's the reasoning behind KCPT Public Television's project Our Town: Parkville premiering August 15th at 7 pm and again at 8 pm.

How does it work? Take 25 amateur video camera operators and turn them loose in their hometown and see what they come up with. At the end of the day, they come back, turn in their video tapes and talk about what they shot.

For their efforts, they get a tee shirt, a "sneak" preview of the finished show and a chance to "star" on premiere night by answering phones and taking pledges. We may even get to meet some of them first hand that night.

Tune in to Our Town: Parkville, Thursday, August 15th at 7 pm and again at 8 pm on Channel 19/Digital 18 and watch the little town on the banks of the Missouri river come to life in a most unusual way.
