Producers Society

Every great institution depends on a core of faithful patrons whose commitment far surpasses that of the casual supporter. At KCPT, the Producers Society is that core.

The Producers Society is a dedicated group of men and women who believe that television can and should be directed to the greater good; and that KCPT must be supported in its goal of reaching out to people -- regardless of race, occupation, or ability to pay -- with programs that inform, entertain and inspire.

More than 30,000 people demonstrate their belief in public television with membership contributions that make possible day-to-day operations. It is the Producers Society that enables KCPT to go beyond the status quo -- to expand its vision of excellence, to participate at the cutting-edge of telecommunications technologies, to find innovative ways of serving the region and the neighborhood.

Membership in the Producers Society is testament to your shared belief in the importance of that quest.

Member Privileges:

Membership in the Producers Society begins with an annual contribution of $1,250 or more.

As a member, your generosity is recognized with a range of exclusive benefits, depending on the level you choose for your partnership with KCPT.

Producers Society Recognition

Producer - $1,250:

  • Special Luncheon "State of the Station" Invitations.
  • Access to KCPT's Program Lending Library, where you can borrow a copy of your favorite PBS shows you might have missed within the preceding two weeks.
  • Invitations to special events featuring local and national PBS personalities, as well as invitations to program tapings, concerts, premiers, and the TV Dinner.
  • Recognition in the magazine and on the web, with permission of the donor.


Director - $2,500:

  • All the Producer level benefits above.
  • Private Tours of the Station for you and your guests.
  • Names listed on a "wall of giving", with permission of the donor.


Executive Director - $5,000:

  • All the Producer and Director level benefits.
  • Personalized, engraved, "I support KCPT plaque" for your home or office in recognition of your generosity.
  • Complementary special event or concert ticket.


Executive Producer - $10,000:

  • All previous level benefits.
  • Name read aloud, alone, on air 12 times per year.
  • Use of KCPT's Community Room for your private event/family celebration, business gathering, etc.


Presidents Circle - $25,000:

  • All previous level benefits.
  • Name Listed on KCPT's Wall of Leadership Giving.
  • Use of KCPT's Studio Space for your private event/family celebration, business gathering, etc.
