Special Events VolunteersKCPT Special Events take place throughout the year, both at the station and in locations around the Kansas City metro area. Volunteers are needed to assist with various duties such as: staffing event booths, taking tickets, food service, event set-up, greet guests, etc. Concerts: KCPT is involved in many concerts throughout the year from "Straight No Chaser" to "Celtic Woman." Volunteers are often needed at these concerts to staff a KCPT Booth. Children's Events: KCPT is very involved with children in our community from "Kids on Ice" to "Touch-A-Truck." There are many opportunities for volunteers to staff a KCPT Booth, take tickets, distribute materials. VIP Events: PBS VIPs often come to Kansas City – Jim Lehrer, Mark Samels, Ken Burns to name a few. Volunteers are needed to help host at these events.
