Brown Bottles & Caps

Bottling: Louie's pasteurization process set off a chain reaction: breweries could now bottle their beer since it could last longer. Bottling machines were installed in every brewery. This meant that labeling on bottles became essential to create identities for each company and from that brand loyal customers. An advertising device that's lasted through time.

Caps & Corks: To cap it all off, brewers now had the crown bottle cap which came along in 1892. The cap was more economical and efficient than corks and stoppers, and ensured the quality and freshness of beer
