This Thursday night at 7 p.m., join KCPT and our PBS sister station in St. Louis for the Missouri U.S. Senate Debate. Judy Woodruff from the PBS Newshour will be flying in from Washington D.C. to moderate the exchange between incumbent Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill and Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley.

Who will succeed Kris Kobach as Kansas Secretary of State? KCPT partners with PBS sister station KTWU in Topeka to bring you the candidates campaigning to be the state's next chief election officer. KCPT's Nick Haines moderates this one-hour debate, featuring former Google and Uber Vice-President Brian McClendon (Democrat), Kansas State Representative Scott Schwab (Republican) and real estate agent Rob Hodgkinson (Libertarian). This program is presented in partnership with the Washburn University Political Science Department.

When Kansas 2nd District Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins announced she would not seek re-election last January, it set off a political scramble to replace her. Now it’s down to three candidates. Who is best equipped to represent this vast district covering almost all of eastern Kansas, from the Nebraska border down to the Oklahoma state line? KCPT's Nick Haines moderates this one-hour debate featuring Lawrence, Kansas, attorney and former U.S. Senate candidate Paul Davis (Democrat), West Point graduate and former Army Ranger Steve Watkins (Republican) and Kelly Standley (Libertarian), who operates a tree service in southeast Kansas. This program is presented in partnership with the League of Women Voters.
